I do have quite a collection of eye shadows from many brands but my top favorite is MAC eye shadow. There is something great about the quality and lasting power. The price is affordable even though it is a bit higher than drug store one. I always go back to MAC almost every time I am thinking about buying new shadows.

Here are my top 5 eye shadows from MAC.

Left to Right: Brule, Swish, Tempting, Antiqued, Cranberry

Swatches (Left to Right): Brule, Swish, Tempting, Antiqued, Cranberry

.

Brule (Satin): It is so neutral and so perfect for highlight color. I just love the softness of vanilla tone on my brow bones. It gives such a great definition of the eyes and lids. I never get tired of using this one and I will repurchase again and again.

MAC Shadow: Brule

.

Swish (Frost): The first time I saw Switch I thought it was too Barbie-like for me, bright pink with icy shimmer. I finally gave in after reading so many good reviews about it. The color looks so pretty on my lids. I use it almost every day during summer. It could combine with a darker red or purple tone to intensity the crease. This shadow can create so many different looks.

MAC Shadow: Swish

.

Tempting (Lustre): The color is between brown and bronze. There are tiny particles of glitter in it, but it looks more like shimmer. Again, first I thought the glitter would ruin my makeup because of the fallouts. But at the end, the good eye shadow base would keep them stay put and the color is so amazing. Hands down for this one!

.

Antiqued (Veluxe Pearl): It is a copper brown with gold undertone. I love to use it on the crease to intensity the color. My eyes look brighter with more definition. Sometimes I just wear only this color by applying only one coat and soften it with MAC brush 224, the color is beautiful.

MAC Shadow: Antiqued

.

Cranberry (Frost): The color is red plum with pink shimmer. I love this one for an evening look. It goes very well with Swish; Swish on the lids and Cranberry on the crease. The texture is so pigmented; you only need to pad a tiny bit on your lids. The color is gorgeous!

They are amazing products and I would recommend it for anyone who is thinking about getting a new eye shadow. Enjoy!

Let’s share some beauty talk… I’m very much in love with my MAC lipsticks lately. There is something about it, a nice feeling and finish look,I guess… There are 5 of them that I alternately use in every day make-up. Each one has a unique color and could create different kind of looks, depends on what kind of make-up style I’m going for. Let’s see what they are.

(Left-Right) Viva Glam Gaga, Viva Glam V, Craving, Faux, Creme d'Nude

(Swatches- left to Right) VG Gaga, VG V, Craving, Faux, Creme d'Nude

.

.

1. Viva Glam Gaga (Luster) : It is so Lady Gaga, the color is baby pink with a slight shimmer. It looks like there is a icy blue tint into it, but you wouldn’t notice directly. The texture is sheer to medium, you can build the color on your lips. It does go very smoothly because the luster texture is quite creamy. You will see a bit of shimmer (not glitters) on your lips, could be worn for day or evening look.

2. Viva Glam V (Luster) : It is a very neutral color. I would describe it as light brown & nude color. There is a slight shimmer and luster finish. It is more like an everyday lipstick that I can easily put on. The color is beautiful and it is creamy so it does not dry on your lips. The texture is not too sheer, sort of medium coverage. I personally think it is fit for almost every skin tone.

3. Craving (Amplified Creme) : This is a bit of dark red but it is not too scary as you see on the tube. I just think it is perfect for an evening look it you want to intensify the color on your lips. It is also wonderful for Fall/Winter season because of the darker color. I found that it really brighten up my complexion (I’m NC 30 on MAC foundation). My face would look more pink & fresh. Sometimes I can just dab a little bit on to give a red tint and it is perfect. The staying power is very long because of amplified creme finish. I just love it.

4. Faux (Satin Finish) : First of all, the color is so beautiful and wearable. I would describe is as a mauve rose & light pink. The finish is satin, but it is almost like matte look. The formulation is smooth, a bit thick and creamy, because of these I found that the staying power lasts very long. This is another color for everyday look and every skin tone. It just gives a soft natural color when you put on. I would recommend to all my lady friends.

5. Creme d’Nude (Cremesheen Finish) : This is a lovely nude & neutral color. I found it very sexy, very Kim Kardashian nude lips look. Even though it is more suitable for light/fair skin tone, ladies with darker skin could mix with peachy lip gloss and you can pull off this look also. The reason that I said this because a too light nude lipstick on darker skin could make a person look like a dead corp. It sounds funny, but it is true. I have seen it. The quick fix in my opinion is “lip gloss”, don’t be afraid to mix with lipstick, you can create different colors that suit you easily.

Hope you enjoy seeing my favorite MAC lipsticks. I do like many other brands also… but as I said, lately I’m so much in love with these 5. They are just wonderful 🙂

We continue on for a beauty blog and great products for summer. There are many wonderful blushes out there and many are revving about them. But what I love is to have a natural color on my cheeks. Our focus will be on blushes that gives you a glowy and healthy look. Here are some that you might consider;

Nars Luster : This shade gives you a very natural glow on your cheeks. Some have used it as a blush/bronzer. Nars is famous for the quality of blushes. You may have heard of some others such as Orgasm, Tajmahal, Deep throat, etc. For Luster, it is so beautiful, you do not have to worry if you pile on too much. The color will go very smoothly on your face. It creates a dewy, velvet finish.

.

.

MAC – Blushcreme Ladyblush : If you are looking for a long lasting, natural pinky look, this blush might be for you. The formulation is creamy and smooth. My  recommendation is to use a brush MAC 188, duo fiber, to apply it. Some women told that a contour brush Mac 109 works very good also. This product stays on your cheeks very long, even though the weather can be hot and humid, just perfect for your summer make-up.

.

.

Benefit Dallas : Beside a lovely packaging, Dallas blush gives you a peachy and slightly pinky undertone to your cheeks. The color looks so natural, with no sparkling shimmer. Some said it would make you look like you just a nice tan on you face. It is pricey but the product lasts very long. A little brush that comes with it may be a bit scratchy, it would be best to invest in your own blushing brush.

.

.

Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush #2 : The texture of this product is amazing. It gives you a silky and velvet look on your cheeks. You only need a tiny bit to apply. The color pays off very well and it stays on for several hours. Many make-up artists use on runway show models. It is described as a baby pink but still sophisticated and glamorous.

.

.

Clinique Blushing Blush Precious Posy : The color may look bright in a pan but the product is very sheer and it goes smoothly on your cheeks. It will brighten up your face, you will look so fresh, yet so natural. There are tiny particles of shimmers in it, but they do not appear too much when you apply. This is another great blush for your summer look.

Lip glosses are great! For me, it is one of the make-up products that I always keep it in my purse. Every 3-6 months, we really have to toss some of them away (for sanitary reason). Therefore, finding a replacement is so much fun. Are you looking for new lip glosses right now? Here are some interesting pieces you may want to try.

Estée Lauder – Pure Color Gloss – Mod Poppy

It is a long lasting, non-sticky and rich in texture lip gloss. That’s why many women love it. There are several colors and shades for you to choose. The color really pays off when you apply. It will give a soft, yet sophisticated look, just perfect for every season.

.

.

Yves Saint Laurent – Golden Gloss – Golden Carnation

It gives you a glow on your lips, they will look full and plumped. It is not a lip plumper but the texture and shimmers in the product will create an effect of shine. The texture is light and smooth. You will feel great applying and the lasting power is decently long. This is one of the best sellers around the world. Give yourself a treat of luxury! (It contains 0.2% of 24 carats gold)

.

.

Revlon – Super Lustrous Lip Gloss – Pink Persuit

This lip gloss is for a good cause, 10% of sales will go to a foundation research to fight breast cancer. Beside that, this is a very affordable product. The formulation is rich, smooth and creamy.  The texture is so glossy and shine. It is a long lasting lip gloss that you will love.

.

.

Nars – Lip Gloss – Tempest

Nars describes as a warm rose shade. Well, it is. The color is beautiful and the texture is very shiny. You can feel the smoothness when applying. The lasting power is quite decent. This color can go with almost every skin tone. The color is well paid off. It is perfect for a soft and sophisticated look.

.

MAC – To the beach tinted lip glass – Splashing

This collection is going strong. Tinted lip glass from MAC is one of the most popular products out there. Regarding to the shade Splashing, it makes us want to try because it is so sheer and so shine. The color is very beautiful. The texture is amazing. It is a bit sticky but that helps the product to last longer on your lips.

I was going to save this until the end of the month, but why not now 🙂 All my dear ladies, these are products that I am in love at this moment. I have been using in the past 3-4 weeks and still I’ve been reaching for them everyday. Let have a look 😀

Foundation: Revlon Color Stay Foundation (my shade is Natural Tan). I cannot have enough of this foundation. It is very smooth for blending and it goes very well on my  face. I use MAC brush 187 to apply. Believe it or not, your face will look flawless under this foundation when you are being photographed.

.

.

Concealer: MAC Studio Finished Concealer. Again, this concealer glides on my face. I only need it under eye area to cover my puffiness. I do have bags under eyes, my skin is not perfect. Thanks to this product, it does a very good job.

.

.

Face Powder: MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural (my shade is medium). After putting on foundation and concealer, I set my make-up with this MSF powder. It keeps everything stay put for the whole day, I rarely need to touch up after that.

.

.

Blush: MAC Ombre Ripe Peach. This one is a limited edition that came out the Spring Colour Forecast Collection. Colors fade from coral red to light peach color. You can choose which look you want to do. It has a bit of shimmer in it but it gives you a slight glow, perfect for Spring.

.

.

Lipstick: MAC Lady GAGA. Yes, Lady Gaga designed the color for this product. The more you look, the more you’ll think about her. She does have this color on most of the time. We are talking about light pink with a little shimmer, almost like blue under tone to it. I love this on my day look 🙂

I just checked out a new collection from MAC cosmetics and found this one as latest products. Very soon, we will see some beauty gurus posted videos on youtube… love to see them. For now, we just have a sneak peek of what the collection looks like. They’re pretty much into purple & dark red tone… hmmmm, what do you think?
