The title may have you think about a love drama from William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet. Well, this version is different. It started with an American girl, Julie Jacob, who travelled to Sienna in search of her Italian heritage. She later discovered about her ancestor from 14th century, Giulietta Tomei, who was involved in love affair and family feud. Those families’ descendants were still living in Sienna and still under the curse of hatred. To investigate what happened in the past, Julie searched through relics, paintings, journals, a ring and a dagger.

It is like a modern adventure and romance story, isn’t it? It is… the story is so much fun to read and discover surprises… Recommended books for this Fall, here is one of them — “Juliet”.

The title sounds amazing, doesn’t it …I know…I know… yes, it really is amazing and there is so much information that you thought you knew, but you don’t. This book is very useful for a carb lover (like me). And I think it is good for anyone who loves carb. You can still keep eating what you like and keep your weight under control. Come on! I live in Italy… pasta, pizza and all kinds of high carb food are what people eat here. They are really good! I wouldn’t trade them for other things… If you are carb lovers, check this book out… it’s awesome!

What the Yuck?: The Freaky and Fabulous Truth About Your Body

Don’t turn off by the title of this book… yes, it is “What the Yuck?”. I found this book very useful and informative when it comes to certain health issues, which we may not know what is going on. There will be embarrassing questions, silly thoughts and so on. Dr. Rajapaksa (Dr. Raj) did very great job about explaining some confusing symptoms. You will know when not to worry or when to see a doctor… such as “Is it bad that I drank margaritas before I realized I was pregnant?” or “Can too many venti lattes (green tea latte made with soy) give you a heart attack?” or even some questions many were wondering for a long time “why one of my breasts is larger than another one?”.  Some are just normal, it happens to a lot of people and some are serious — you need to talk to a specialist doctor.  It is all about health … it is a great book for women of all ages. I totally love it, and hope you’ll get a chance to read it too.
