Ladurée is a luxury brand for pastries …based in Paris, France. This year, they opened a shop in Milan, Italy. I couldn’t resist to pay them a visit. The location is very close to Piazza Duomo.
Ladurée Paris: Via Spadari 6, Milano
The most famous dessert from Ladurée is “Macaron”. Interestingly enough, the “Macaron” was brought from Italy to France in 16th century by Queen Catherine de’ Medici. In the present days, it became a French dessert… not Italian anymore. It is said the Ladurée sold more than 15,000 macarons everyday!!!
Macaron is a sweet and colorful pastry. The texture is like soft bread… The shape looks like 2-piece shells sticking together with sweet jam or cream in the middle. Macaron from Ladurée is very high quality… so soft, yet a bit crispy… smooth and perfect when you eat with a cup of tea.
There are varieties of flavor… yellow = lemon, pink = strawberry, dark red = mixed berries, brown = chocolate, and so son.
Benvenuti in Italia — Ladurée Paris!
Macaron is delicious — almost beat Italian Tiramisu 🙂
Have a nice day, everyone!
